This is a postcard sized watercolour I’ve done for my friend Lizzie. It’s based on a photo she took on a mini-break with her boyfriend in Scotland (I’m not exactly sure where it is). I haven’t really used watercolours much, so this was a bit of an experiment. First I sketched the outline, then coloured it in using Faber Castell watercolour pencils, then washed over it with water and after it had dried, inked in the pencil lines. I quite like the effect, but think I need a bit more practice!
