En-route to Australia I stopped off in Singapore for a long weekend. Happily it coincided with my friend Katys birthday (who I was staying with) and she’d managed to wangle tickets to the marina bay sands infinity pool on the 57th floor which was amazing! Also obviously it was very nice to see her again too and do touristy things in Singapore, despite my having twisting my knee the day before I arrived (AIYAH).
I used lived in Singapore when I was smaller, and it was quite strange to be back nearly 20 years later. The city was virtually unrecognisable- all except the botanical gardens and the Toys-R-us shop on Orchard Boulevard which at the age of 9 was one of my favourite places to go. (I was big into the sticker trading movement and they had an excellent selection there).
