My parents have moved back to the Lakes up North in England and are so happy in their new home! I visited them for a couple of weeks last month, so I still have more paintings that I want to do of the area and their view especially, but here are my first few attempts..
Last week I went up the Shard to check out the view. It was a bit of a muggy day so I've tried to capture that greeny brown smoginess in the postcards I've done of it.
The views from the Midland train from London to Stone are really pretty! Wish I'd taken more photos. And being in Stone was lovely too - I had high tea at the Moddershall Oaks and a proper catch up with Ro.
My beautiful friend Caroline asked me to paint a photo of Plymouth Harbour (near where she now lives) for her birthday. I finally finished it at the beginning of this year, making it the last painting I did before I started suffering from RSI.
