Last weekend I went to the Affordable Art Fair Brussels, and there was loads of stuff there that was absolutely amazing (although not so affordable!) and some artists in particular I’ve found inspiring. For example, I really liked the technique that Hipolythee uses in her ink paintings and the way that her inking went off into the borders of the frames in the prints that she had on display at the art fair.
I’ve tried to use her technique but the pattern from one a couple of my old paintings : The Shard – which I’ve now painted over with grey paint to make room for something else, and New York City which is framed above my desk.
