My daughters currently go to different schools and because the French speaking schools in Belgium changed their holiday timetable but the Flemish and International schools didn’t, they have very different holiday schedules. From mid February to the end of May I had one or the other daughter home on ‘holiday’ or one or the other of them ill for 10 out of 14 weeks and I thought I was going to go insane. Then in early June I got a message to say there was a case of chicken pox in my younger daughter’s class…. she doesn’t have any spots yet, but I’m fairly sure it’s just a matter of time. SIGH.
