In January my friend Katy came to stay for the weekend. The Wednesday before she arrived there was nearly 10cm of snow in Brussels (which is quite unusual for Brussels!), and the temperatures were so cold it didn’t melt until Sunday afternoon, so we were able to go sledding in the forest with my daughters and visit Ghent on an icy cold crisp day. I highly recommend Ghent, it’s a really pretty city and they have pedestrianised the centre so it’s really nice to walk around. And Meme Gusta for lunch there was delicious!
