My brother and his family came to visit us at the end of July for a couple of days before they took the overnight train to Munich. I was really impressed by how light they were able to pack -a hiking rucksack for each the two adults and a small rucksack for each of the two kids for a two week holiday! One of reasons we haven’t yet done an overnight train trip with the kids is the packing issue, we’ve gotten way too used to shoving everything we could possibly need in the boot of the car. One day…

We didn’t go far while they were here- a tour of the local playgrounds on day one and then a trip in opposite directions on tram 8 and walk back home through the forest and along the Woluwe river on the other two days.
