House people

I’ve read quite a few books about work whilst I have been technically unemployed over the past five years,  but none of them get so entirely to the heart of the matter as to why we make the distinction between work and play in the first place by allowing women control of the home and men control of the world, and how damaging that is to everybody and everything than Dorothy Dinnerstein’s The Mermaid and the Minotaur.

This cartoon was inspired by her book (which I highly recommend you read, drop everything and be angered by it):
