During the May heatwave (we’re about to start the June heatwave) the girls had their half term holiday and we drove to the Loire Valley in France to see the chateaus. We managed to see six chateaus, one each morning while it was cooler (26-30 degrees rather than 32-34 degrees like it was in the afternoons), and then we wallowed in the campsite pool in the afternoons.
We had a really great time, the chateaus were amazing, the area was beautiful and I can recommend the Yelloh campsite, the only thing missing was iced coffees which weren’t sold in the chateau cafes! IT WAS HOT, GET SOME ICE.
